Relationships are critical in the functioning of our world. From the relationships that we have with one another, personally and professionally, to the ones that we have with “inanimate” things, such as the environment, we need to be able to have a deeper understanding of HOW we are interconnected and HOW we can develop a better sense of interdependence, and avoid codependence or hyper-independence.
As social creatures, and particularly as primates, we were never designed to be “lone wolves.” Indeed, one of the most psychologically damaging experiences is to be “left out” or to be isolated. Solitary confinement is used as a form of punishment in the US penal system. Conversely, we may sometimes unwittingly choose to exclude others. Sometimes this is useful, and sometimes it is not as useful.
But what if there were a way that you could really experience relationships as they were meant to be, as places where healing and thriving can happen naturally? What if, through learning this, you can avoid misunderstandings, prevent potential unhealthy disagreements, heal your relationships with others, in a way that is respectful and holistic, so you never have to violate your personal values again?
